About us

Meet Dawn, Antony & the doggos

YourNotebook is a family-run studio in the UK. Two humans, two French bulldogs and a laser that lives wherever there's bench space. Dawn and Antony do all of it between them, with two snoring dogs supervising.

It's small on purpose. No outsourced workshop and no warehouse: the people who read your order are the people who put your notebook under the laser and pack it.

The same family behind The Card Genie

We're also the family behind The Card Genie, which grew out of years of drawing silly cards for each other. YourNotebook comes from the same habit: a present means more when it's got your words on it.

What we make

A5 notebooks in vegan leather with a litchi grain, engraved with your words, your photo, a map, a star chart or one of our designs. Add the gift set and it comes with a pen engraved to match and a spare refill, in a fitted box and a matching gift bag. Nothing is engraved until you've ordered it, so every one on the shelf is already somebody's.

How it's made

Every cover is laser engraved, not printed, so there's no ink to fade or rub off. The engraving is part of the cover itself.

What you see is what we cut

The preview in the studio is drawn from the same file we send to the laser. Move a line, add a text box, upload a picture: the cover you approve is the cover that gets engraved, and we test that it stays that way for every design we sell.

A person reads every order

We read the words on every order before we make it. If something looks off, we'll email you before the laser runs, not after.

Find us on Etsy too

Dawn looks after our Etsy shop. Same notebooks, same laser, same two of us.
