Birthdays, set as the next chapter
The milestone covers treat turning forty as the start of a chapter: the age goes across the cover as a chapter heading, with a rule beneath it and the name of whoever is turning it. Nine ages have a page of their own because they are the ones people mark, and every other age can simply be typed in. The rest of this page is for the birthdays that are not round numbers at all, when the person matters more than the year they have reached.

Chapter or Vol., and any number at all
Every milestone cover carries a toggle between Chapter and Vol., because the two read quite differently and people turn out to be particular about which one they want. The ages with their own page are the usual milestones, but the number is an editable field on all of them, so a twenty-fifth or a forty-fifth is the same cover with your figure on it and nothing lost. The best is yet to come cover takes the opposite approach: it keeps the age small, puts the promise in the largest type, and sets a monogram at the foot so the line stays short whatever the number is.
When the year is not the point
For a birthday that is not a milestone, the covers worth looking at are the ones built around the person instead. The sky chart draws the exact night above the place somebody was born, on the date they were born, as a chart across the cover. A short poem can be written about them from a few sentences you give us, and you can rewrite it line by line before anything is engraved, so it ends up in your words rather than ours. The name and monogram cover puts the initials large with the full name beneath and says nothing about age at all, which suits somebody who would rather it were not mentioned.
For the one who would rather have a joke
The sitcom cover draws an ornate frame around three lines you write yourself, which is where the friends who still quote the show tend to end up. Be Bold builds one line out of three words that each begin with Be, drawn from a bank you can shuffle through or type straight over, with initials in the corner. Neither of them mentions a birthday anywhere on the cover, and that is the point of putting them here: the card says happy birthday and then goes in the recycling, while the notebook is still being used in March.
Birthdays do not move, and nothing here exists until you order it, so a week ahead is comfortable and the day before is a gamble. No delivery date is promised on this page. How long making, dispatch and delivery take is set out on Delivery and returns.
