What the preview promises
Is the preview on screen really what I will get?
The preview is generated from the same artwork the laser receives, at the same size, so what you approve on screen is what we cut. It is the real thing rendered small, not an artist's impression.
It has two limits:
- Colour and contrast. The same design reads differently on every colour, so each preview is drawn in that colour's own engraving tone rather than flat black, emulating the contrast you will see on the real book. It is a close match, but a screen is still a screen.
- Your words are your own. The preview shows exactly the text you typed, including the typo. Check the spelling before you pay, because the engraving is permanent.
